Exploring queer masculinities
27. Mai, 17:00 - 20:00
Kostenlos
A workshop for anyone interested in discussing and queering masculinities – open to all genders
About the workshop
Are you interested in the topic of masculinities? Perhaps because you identify as man or are currently experimenting with masculinity? Or because the topic plays a major role in your social environment and your relationship(s)? Are you looking for a space to learn more about queer and trans masculinities, and to exchange ideas with others? Would you like to brainstorm together how masculinities can be a source of energy and liberation—even in a world that is overdetermined by patriarchal masculinity? Then our workshop is just right for you!
We will provide some input, provide space for exchange and reflection, and collectively celebrate and empower queer masculinities.
What you can expect:
- Exchange about experiences with masculinities
- Networking with other interested queer young people
- Stimulating inputs on theories about (queer/trans) masculinities
- Space for your own questions, ideas, and stories
We can discuss the following questions (among others):
- What does masculinity mean to me?
- How can I deal critically with masculinities?
- How and when do I use/perform them?
- Where do masculinities limit me?
- Where do they empower me?
- What are inspiring forms of masculinities for me?
We look forward to seeing you!
